First things first, make a new layer and name it hair! Then draw the outline of the hair in the color you want and clean it up. And now grab a color about 4 shades lighter and fill it in.
Now for the shading, get the next darkest color and remember you always shade with the direction the hair is going, the spots the light cant get, and
don't forget the roots! After that's done, shade the darker spots with a
shade one value darker then the first!
And now get a color that's drastically lighter than the color of the original color of the hair, usually its between that color and white. Now make kind of
zig zag lines where the light will be, but making it solid in the middle, then take a color very close to white and take it through the middle of those;
that's it!
